CERT Basic Training offered in Claremont on Wed/Thursday nights in Sept & Sat, October 1
EMERGENCY AND LIFE SAVING SKILLS CLASS OFFERED
I just wanted to let you know about this free training
for knowing what to do in a catastrophic emergency situation in your
community.
They say it's not IF something will happen, it's
WHEN. This is a government funded program to educate the normal,
everyday people to be of assistance in their communities.
Here is the info:
The Claremont CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) is proud to present the CERT Basic Training class to the public. Following a major disaster, police, fire, and medical professionals may not be able to fully meet the demand. People will have to rely on each other to meet the immediate life saving and life sustaining needs, particularly in isolated neighborhoods that may be cut off from the main roads for a period of time. The CERT program was developed to provide basic training in safety and life saving skills for the general public.
The training course will be presented as a series of seven (7) classes on September 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, 29, and October 1, 2016. Training will take place at the Alexander Hughes Community Center. Classes are free and participants will receive a certificate upon completion of all classes. Seating is limited, and enrollment is required by September 1, 2016. To enroll, please contact Debbie Trevino at dtrevino@ci.claremont.ca.us
